This may sound like a silly idea or thing but today is my 1/2 birthday! So my wonderful older sister decided to surprise me with a very gauddy pink vase filled with very pink flowers! LOL!

My birthday is December 20! Some people born in the month of December celebrate their 1/2 birthday because of the holidays. I personally have never done this but told my older sis Dorene about the concept back in January on her birthday. I told her since plans & parties for both of us are always getting canceled we should celebrate our 1/2 birthday's instead by a pool, in the sun drinking strawberry daquri's. Sounds great don't it! Anyway, I turned the big 40 last year so in the tradition of over the hill parties I had decided to spend it at The Haunted Mill in Homer with the grim reaper & all. Of course the weather did not co-opperate pluse being close to Christmas everyone had other things to do so it had been a bit of a bust. Then again given my nature I partied for 4 days & never really noticed.! LOL! My older sister who did not make it to the party though did. She decided to get me on my 1/2 birthday instead. She had thought about sending me a cake with a bouquet of balloons attached to a fire exstinguisher but opt not to. She decided since I love the color black so much to send me something in a color I totally detest. PINK! I got the gauddest pink vase with very pink flowers in it. I laughed for the longest time and everyone else did not get it . You know though 4 years from now I will be getting her back! With something BLACK!
